@ashley Just now seeing you 9/16 message: Lol, I'm happy you found it funny! I don't feel like my post fully captured how awkward that situation fully was lol. He was in my apartment ! In my apartment for the first meet-up ! biggest mistake ever. We sat high-school-style on my bed, and he paused for 3 seconds in between every word he spoke (confusing). Smelled like my great-grandpas cologne (not appealing). I'm lucky my roomie made dinner to share, and I could be around them for the latter half. Online dating is so odd. He also brought over sponge-bob popsicles, so at least that was a plus.

@ztbd I would need to asses irl or via photo to really get a better idea. Poking the battery may be the only answer (mechanics hate this one simple trick)

@ztbd Is the connectors on your battery fully tightened? Mine are loose and I have this same issue. Normally while I'm driving, I hit a pothole saint-louis-style, and they loosen off a bit. Then, when I go to start it, it does the same click. Pushing them back down normally does the trick. My sister will hammer a penny in there as well to fully tighten hers. I know you said you checked the connections though, so my other question is how old is your battery? After about 4 years, they stop working properly.

On a real note: I ofc am not in your situation, and therefore do not know its nuances. But I am also going through the motions of “everything is okay right now, and that’s strange/wrong.” It’s hard to feel worthy of it at times. I tell myself that these emotions are waves, and I will ride them out. Know that I am so happy for your new found safety, and I am here to listen or be still with you as you ride out those difficult thoughts. Peace and love !
